I blame Gold0 for this massive fuck-up. He should have no say in any matter whatsoever.

Re: Barton having medical at West ham
There was me thinking we were going to get the likes of Song and Halilovic and we end up with Barton.

It's like going shopping for a Bentley and coming home with a used Ford Sierra

Re: Barton signs

He's certainly better than Noble.

Still, he's a twat, due to him thinking his IQ is 120+ when in reality it's sub-100.

Re: Barton signs
Ron, that's exactly what's happened. The players we were being linked with, I didn't want Barton over them.

Now, with all of our potential signings having fallen away, and the Song deal looking fucked and with 4 days left, I would now happily have signed Barton, at this rate we are going to end up with fuck all.

Re: Barton signs
I'd imagine he was holding out for an offer from us but it never came so he has signed for Burnley instead.

Good luck to him, I hope Nolan gets as good a deal.

Re: Barton signs
I am just wondering how his West London Oscar Wilde style bon mots and Nietzsche quotes will go down on the streets of Burnley.

Re: Barton signs
Those who don't want him do so because of his personal stuff not his football, should have played for a England fir a few years!

Didn't think he'd get another PL club. Can't believe we bothered with him.

refers to west ham as a shambles according to people on twitter following him on talksport is this right?

Re: Barton signs
Our offer to Barton was fairly pitiful and based around appearances.

Burnley obviously offered him first team football and a regular salary.

Agree with that. Went abroad and was loved by the fans.

Was frozen out of the England set-up because he had a run-in with Lampard, by all accounts.

Mind you, he doesn't really keep his personal shortcomings out of his football. Often a cunt on the pitch as well.

Re: Barton signs
No it's not right unless I missed it. He referred to QPR as chaotic but spoke well of us. He said we renewed our interest after the Bournemouth defeat but was already decided on burnley
